Rhea's Ice Cream Parlor (pronounced Ray's) was opened in the winter

of 2009 by Rhea Ortamond who founded the business on pure passion

for home made ice cream. Over the next five and a half years, she

perfected dozens of original flavors that became the ice cream

foundation of the shop.  In June of 2015 Rhea moved to Chicago to

follow her heart and instead of closing her doors opted to sell the business to Lindsey Belk and The Root Cellar Cafe in order to continue

the ice cream legacy. After months of rigorous training, the secret recipes were passed down to the new owners and the shop lives on. With the knowledge inherited from Rhea, the enthusiasm of Lindsey Belk, and the culinary expertise of The Root Cellar Cafe, Rhea's Ice Cream is destined for great things!
